Brian Epstein - President and CEO
An experienced entrepreneur with three successful technology ventures, Brian is currently the founder and CEO of Deep Blue Communications a Wireless and DIRECTV services company that evolved from the merger of WiFiFee and Deep Blue Wireless. Prior to founding WiFiFee, Brian founded and ran an IT Services business, Vision Systems, Inc. for 11 years before successfully selling to Telecommunications Analysis Group in Albany, NY. Additionally, Brian spun off some IP that Vision Systems created into a new software company, becoming the Founder and Chairman of the predecessor company to the Autotask Group (autotask.com).
Brian has received numerous awards and honors, including being elected President of Young Entrepreneurs Organization Albany Chapter, being selected to Capital District Business Review’s 40 Under 40 List, and being awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by the Albany Center for Economic Growth and Techconnex which represents 18 counties.
Brian received a BS in mechanical engineering from Union College.
Ryan Donnelly - Chief Operating Officer and CMO
Ryan is responsible for all corporate operations and business development initiatives. Prior to joining WiFiFee, he worked for Coinmach Service Corp. in a variety of capacities including marketing, corporate development, strategic planning, and sales management.
He currently serves on the Advisory Board’s of the Christos Cotsako’s College of Business, and the William Paterson University Small Business Development Center. Mr. Donnelly is also on the Board of Directors of the Timothy Murphy charitable foundation. His paper GAINING ACCESS TO START-UP CAPITAL: A GUIDE FOR THE NASCENT ENTREPRENEUR was recently featured in Business Week magazine.
Ryan received a BA in political Science from Siena College, and an MBA from William Paterson University.
Sandy Schackman - Executive Vice President, Hospitality Sales
Sandy joined Deep Blue Wireless in July 2004 to spearhead Deep Blue’s explosive sales growth. Sandy brings over 30 years of high-tech sales and sales management. Through his extensive experience with print, online, and email advertising with Ziff Davis and IDG, the computer industry's most successful and influential media leaders, Sandy developed a talent for delivering strategic sales. Sandy joined ITworld.com after a career in sales management at IDG's PC World Technology Network. During his tenure, Sandy was named a Top Sales Producer and was promoted to Associate Publisher in March 1998. Under his direction, the PC World Technology Network's sales force delivered consistent "triple digit" quarterly sales growth. Following a very successful career in the media segment of the computer and internet industry, Sandy used his learned and demonstrated skills to help start-up companies identify and execute revenue and marketing strategies for the next big growth marketplace, Wi-Fi.
Sandy holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
